Xavier Prat (Miraflores, Lima, 1957) is a Catalan artist born in Peru whose prolific artistic career focuses on the city of Barcelona. The city’s port and nightlife are just two of the subjects he portrays along with scenes from everyday life.
The display Y en otra ciudad también amanece, curated by Sergio Vila Sanjuán, brings together a selection of some 50 works consisting of paintings and drawings with a surrealist feel, monochrome figures in seascapes or love scenes in urban landscapes freighted with unreality and myth.
